I have owned one and played with one, but I haven't broken any...yet... Actually I used to have one that was a snowglobe but the "water" was actually perfume and you could pull out the globe part and it had a spray nozzle on the bottom. It was pretty cool, and it smelled good too!

I had a great collection when I was a pup. My grandmother used to travel allot and everywhere she went, she would bring me home a snow globe. My little sister broke all of them one day in a temper tantrum. I could see it then and today she's a very unstable, violent woman. My poor snow globes.

I have a snow globe collection. Once my brother broke one with a carousel horse on the inside. I was sad.

Snow globes are the tackiest things on earth after a plastic model of the Eiffel Tower and Swaroski figurines. They need to be smashed with a large hammer!

oh yeah it was so cool as a kid. I still have a couple of thermometers that use mercury still intact. I have a thermostat that uses mercury too, and I even have blood pressure readers that have mercury. Mercury is a cool metal. But people are scared of it because it is poisonous. Never handle mercury with gold rings on. The gold will absorb the mercury like a sponge absorbs water. Thus ruining the gold.

Yes, they give them away for free at JCpenneys when you go there on the day after thanksgiving to shop. My daughter broke mine and there was glitter all over the carpet.

I collect them and sadly I have broken 2. I even have one of the large ones for my yard at Christmas. Most of them have oil and water in them. The outside one is full of air .
