I have read The Midnight's Children by him.....it was really good....tried reading The Moor's Last Sigh and Shalimar The Clown....but could'nt really sit through it....I find him too cynical.....I really prefer Vikram Seth and Jhumpa Lahiri over Rushdie...
I really want to read Satanic Verses....supposed to be his claim to fame...but banned in India

Liked:

Midnights Children
Satanic Verses
Shalimar the Clown

Even though he has an extensive array of works I only had time to read three. Has its own charm, quirky and eccentric.
