I don't re-honk. Anyone who honks at me is either
1.) right- I need to move my butt
or
2.) a Moron- and not quite sure if it was directed to me, so I wont' return it.

I will honk.

Yesterday some woman decided she didn't like the lane was she in (someone was turning, and she couldn't' wait) so she swerved into my lane.

I had drinks in a carrier on my front seat. Slamming on my brakes sent them flying.

Evil little thoughts entered my brain... but I squashed them.
I understand why road rage is so prevalent.

I know the use of the horn is to "Warn" another driver of an impending danger...

But honking means :"Look, you are an idiot. You need to stop that crap before you smash into someone...or someone follows you home and slashes your tires and sugar's your tank."

I would NEVER do that.. but it feels good to think about it.

It's a warning. Like if they are trying to pull into my lane with me there. Or if they are driving 5 miles an hour in the fast lane or something. Or if they are sitting through the green light. It's usually when someone else isn't paying attention that I use my horn.

Considering that it takes most people 45 seconds or longer to realize that the damn traffic light has turned green because they're too busy rubber necking or flapping their lips on a cell phone, YES, I often give 'em a wake up call in the form of a air horn blast otherwise I'd spend all day waiting to get through a simple intersection. Wake up people!

I don't. It's rude. Unless there is going to be an accident, who cares. People are too wound up. If the light turns green, I give the person a chance to notice. Watch you clock next time. It's actually like 5 seconds. How long you are actually sitting there and how long you think you are sitting there is not the same. Leave your house with enough time to get to your destination and you'll be fine and then you don't have to be a rude high strung asshole.

Normally because they are not paying attention. Light turns green and they are doing something on the seat beside them. Or, if they are coming over into the lane on top of me. They didn't look first.....

Use your brakes instead of your horn! Horns should be outlawed. If not horn blowers should be jailed.
