Many people that I have worked with in the past in the Northeast file for seasonal unemployment. Its a touchy subject, but a legitimate one as you sound as though you are not using the system... this in fact is why we have that program. I doubt that taking a short term personal loan would really solve the problem... although you could get what you need up front (pending your credit record) maybe a little extra to get through March and repay during the busy season.

When work is slow in one field, try a temporary job in another.
There are Temp Services out there that can match you to a job that is a temporary one, where the employer needs someone maybe with skills you have to fill in on a job.

If my home were in jepardy, I would take any job I could get to pay the rent. There are many jobs out there that you can do to bring some money in while you wait for your regular job. Try Maintenance, janitorial, sales, fast food, automotive, carwash,
house sitting, or any others that you can get in and out again.

long term, get a summer job in Ohio and a winter job in Arizona where the winters are mild and they have construction all winter long. Just think, if you had a motorhome you could do this easily and always have a roof over your head.

Good Luck

Just curious...what do you do in the winter? My suggestion is to find a winter job.....wait tables for crying out loud if you have too.

I don't want to sound critical, but if you are able-bodied, why do you think other people should be helping you?

I agree you should do your best not to lose your house. Get a temp job.
