A very large hammer and several swings should do it.

This is fun: make sure it is plugged in and turned on. Spray it with water. A computer may actually survive submersion if it is allowed to completely dry before being rebooted, so dropping it in water is no guarantee it will permanantly mess it up. A good 30 ft drop should do it some minor harm as well. Installing Windows ME is fun, especially if it is someone elses computer. Just remember to "lose" the install discs and install absolutely no drivers. Have fun!

Run a magnet by the computer. Make sure that the computer is off and unhooked or otherwise you might be in the middle of an explosion. But just run a magnet around it. You will have to use one stroger than the normal fridge magnet though.

Thanks,
Charlie

Dropping it in the ocean is quick and permanent.

Smashing harddrives with a framing hammer is so permanent that they recommend it for anyone selling a used computer to keep away identify thieves who would search that drive for info left on it..

Remove the side panel, and set a magnet directly on the motherboard for a minute or two. That will wreck it for sure.

Turn off the virus protection and download random stuff from limewire.

Take it to the nearest tall building or cliff and simply toss it over the edge.

Go to your search and type in hal.dll and when you find it delete it. Windows needs this .dll file to load properly so if you get rid of it your computer is screwed. :-)
