Yes, I moved to Ohio from Alabama, and I was amazed by how much more racist the North was in comparison to the South. Also, the people in Alabama were a lot more educated on racial issues then Ohioans, even though the South had a lot more obstacles in achieving the understanding that they have today.

Yes. I was stationed in Spain in 1980. It wasn't so bad because I was young and single. I was deployed all over the world from there. My family all came to visit me when I had leave. I finally was assigned stateside in 1992, with a wife and 3 sons. This country had changed ALOT since I left. Prices, tv shows, sayings, etc. we are still behind on alot of culture to this day in my family.

yes, once i was in mexico and there was no running water. i was really upset.
