id have to go with any asian country because their technology at the moment is extremely high tech. I mean half the things you purchase come from China, check on the back of your shirt, the tag probably says Made in China. Japan right now is leading in the automobile industry with TOyoTa and Honda and theve already bulit humanoid robots that will advance even further in the next 20 years. INdia , even though many arent aware of this, has one of the fastest growing economies at the moment, almost all jobs are being outsourced adn India's IT industry is leading the way. Just call AOL customer service, ull no what i mean then. But anyway i think with the US spending billions of dollars in war effort, Asian countries have an upper hand at the moment.

interesting question. There is little that can be truly said as to the answer. America will probably still generate the highest GNP and GDP. This is generally because of the small time frame you gave. However, the EU, Japan, and China/India will be well positioned to out distance her with in the next hundred years or so. Unless America makes some hardcore changes we will find ourselves in a slow spiral downward in the industries of technology and manufacturing. Two stables in the world economy.

America will continue to be the most powerful country in the world, however, that will only be due to the citizens. Once we realize that massive change in our government and the way we run our daily lives have to occur. Once we realize that we have to make changes and not just sit there and hope for changes to happen by themselves. Perhaps, by then, humanity may have changed, and countries will not have to rate themselves on how powerful they are.

Imo, US would already set up a huge war and upset many countries by this if this continues, id go with china or maybne another asian.

it better be the U:S:A. why do you think the US is securing the middle east ( for democracy ? sure ! ) what the US is doing right now in Iraq may not be seen well . but your children will be grateful all this happened to to secure their future. then and only then Mr. Bush may get his well deserved recognition.
