Do you think that Bush will declare war on Iran?
Do you think that he would be justified in attacking Iran, as in, would it be within his legal rights?

Yes, I know that Congress only has the power to delare war. But what makes you that Bush won't just ignore them. If you think about it, look back at history and you'll see there were a few presidents that ignored Congress and went on with there own agenda, and Congress didn't do anything. So what makes you think that Bush won't ignore Congress? He's only got one more year anyway, so he'll probably just say "screw it, let's do it anyway". Congress may use their power, or not.

Look at Andrew Jackson and the Trail of Tears. That's a perfect example. He defied the Supreme Court and Congress.

No, the liberals will try to appease Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, not unlike the appeasement of Adolph Hitler by Neville Chamberlain. This is how the conflict will start, like World War Two started in 1939.

Well...no and why I say this is because the President just can't declare War , Congress has to consider the reasoning on such act then vote on the issue before one can actually engage on a declaration of War. I really don't foresee this happening BUT Congress is going to be voting on the issue of more funding for our Nuclear weapon program so go figure...lol. The only "good reasoning" I see for the United States to have a full grown war with Iran is if they send a direct missile to our country first and I don't see this happening either. Iran is not completely stupid. Ignorant in some ways but I really don't see their country engaging a war with the United States unless they actually want to see their own country blown off this earth. They might want to call our bluff so do speak and I hope that our President will use his senses and not engage in Iran's little game just to start a war but I really don't think Iran will be that stupid. But then again I have been wrong before...maybe they are stupid.

If he smart he will lay low until the Elections are over & maybe then who follows can make that decision..Be interesting to see how a Democratic President will handle that especially if we do go to war with Iran..

It would be foolish for him to try to get congress to approve an attack on Iran at this point in his administration, especially with his lack of support in both houses.

It isn't within his current range of power. He need congress to approve the war first. In other words he need to convince the democrats of the need for war.

no war, just take out all their nuke capabilities and if they wanted to get physical, then let them try....very justified in what their regime has stated as their policy so far...
