There are some good hotels in KLCC and they start from around $50 through to around US$110 for the best.
You can book ahead or wait until the last minute, inside 21 days to see what's on offer. Current offers ( Chinese New Year ) may be a bit high, and I'd expect them to reduce in price. Just make sure there are no conferences on and that the place is not booked out.
Most of the hotels include a third bed for free with a small surcharge for the 4th bed.

Can no problem even if you are a Muslim just DON'T GET CAUGHT. This Applies for Muslim. If you are staying in those low budget hotels then you MAY have a problem, but if you are staying in those big hotels then i don't think, and i repeat I DON'T think it will be a problem. Cause i am not really sure. Since i was a hotelier once they never come to the hotel i was working at since the day i started to the day i resign (4 star hotel). If Your NOT a Muslim. Then its not a problem As for the sightseeing i think most of it has been covered by hehe haha. I would suggest also to go to the KL Tower to have a view of the city, in the evening or at night is the best since the city will be lighted up. And the Twin Tower Bridge too. Its almost the same as KL Tower but its free. And for cheap things go China Town / Petaling Street Edit: busy_beeM has also said the places i said sorry i didnt see that.

Not sure if you will get a 2 bedroom for $50 at The Zon but its the best place I could think of for a family of 4, that is close to KLCC area at your budget.

Hotel Equatorial! That's the place I stay at every time I go to KL. It's right smack in the city, 5 minutes walk away from the Petronas Twin Towers and 10 minutes by cab to other nearby shopping districts such as Lot10 and Times Square. What's best is that it's pretty damn affordable, whilst being clean and all. I highly recommend it!

If 50usd, i think you can afford about 4 star hotel around klcc, one of it is Chorus Hotel, Others nearby is almost 5 stars, it cost you about 100usd.

for 50 bucks US, can try Armada Hotel. Its in Petaling Jaya. about just a few miles to KL City. 3 of 4 stars.
or you can also try Crystal Crown Hotel in Petaling Jaya too...
all nearby.. less than half hour drive to KL city.

Try corus hotel.....The petronas twin towers and the PUTRA LRT(light rail transit) is just less than 10 minutes walk from the hotel..
