Since a week we are working with our new Magellan Explorist 210 rum - and I think, we generally know what we're doing...But we want to create a basic map of our property with it (marking paths, house, pond, altitudes) The unit displays all this, - we marked POIs, and also the routes are visible - and also after we powered it off and on again, all the data is there. So, it has to be stored somewhere. We can also access the GPS data from our PC, but there is only a table with data -and if we transfer this data into the Mapsend Lite Software, the POIs spread over the whole US. How can we use the data to get the map we need? Thanks!!!!

The data on your eXplorist are in a proprietary format. The best thing you should do is use a program called GPSBabel (free and open source) to convert your POIs and track files to the GPX format. The GPX format is read by many mapping programs (including Google Earth), so at least your data will be in a format that is recognised by programs other than those created by Magellan.

As for your points being spread all over, did you wait until you had a good position fix to begin taking points and recording tracks? Perhaps when you were using it right out of the box it hadn't achieved a position fix yet. Not sure what else would cause the problem. Having an incorrect datum setting in your GPSr could cause points to show up in the wrong place, but seldom spread across the country.

do in comparison to that one bit,,,i could say that sounds like an glaring violation of the fourth replace however the appropriate courtroom has already ruled the fourth replace null and void for all sensible purposes, they could probably rule that that's ok because of the fact cellular telephones did no longer exist in colonial days. What precisely are they searching for besides? How does a site visitors stop justify looking your telephone records? i'm able to pay attention the previous argument now,,,in case you haven't any longer something to cover than you will no longer recommendations, in case you have a concern with it, then you definately could desire to be to blame of something.
