If you have a small amount of data you want to move, go ahead and do this.
1. Make sure you are saving this is the right file format, by using the save as command.
2. Drag and drop information onto A drive from w98 computer.
3. Insert it in XP computer and go. HOWEVER, there are some catches! There are 2 possible file systems for the W98 (FAT 16 and Fat 32)computer and 2 possible for the XP (Fat32 and NTFS)! If both computers are the same, you are good. You may have trouble, tho if they are different. If one computer is Fat 16, then you might try converting it to Fat 32.

Yep, i'd definitely use a flash drive. I'm sure both machines have a usb port. Sometimes flash drives are also called jump drives, thumb drives, memory stick, etc etc., but it's all the same thing.
