As suggested by Dipak, Google Analytics is the best choice and the best thing is now anyone can register for that. You can try other free counter for example, http://www.webstats4u.com/service/apply or http://www.statcounter.com/free_hit_counter.html etc. You can search for free counter in google or yahoo search and you will find many. I have used Google Analytics so never tried any other.

get a free counter and insert the html link into your blog template. That will keep tabs on the number of visitors you have, but it wont be unique to each visitor. It may count the same person over and over again depending on how many times they visit.

have a personel site, place a counter database. use ajax on your blog and send counter data to your personel site and increment it.
