I don't think colleges should allow people into their universities just because they play football or baseball, or something. I think admission into universities should only depend on the intelligence of the person.

What do you think? Do you think that universities should continues allowing people in just because they play sports proficiently, or should universites only let people in only for their intelligence? I mean, isn't that what colleges are for? Education, not athletic training.

It is a way for the colleges to become known, also it is a great revenue generator if the team is any good with the people coming to the games, buying all the crap, and just even donating money to the college. Plus colleges cannot just cater to the academic as much as some of us would like but have to cater to everyone and sports is just another segment of that population.

My brother,
Welcome to the world of life.
Sports generates BIG money and that is why they not only tolerate it but go to great lengths to secure the best coaches and athletes.
