Ok so this one then :o) In Biology, a first level consumer would be something that eats a plant, eg an insect. Second level might be a bird, who eats the insect, third level could be a fox, who eats the bird.
(In Economics: if timber were the raw material, first level consumer would be a timber yard/saw mill who take the trees and make them into planks of wood, second level might be a furniture maker who buys the wood and makes it into tables, third level would be the retailer, who buys the furniture to sell to its customers.)
