When I was researching getting my Master's, according to marketabilty, it Mechanical Engineering (for the present, anyway) ranked as the highest in jobs and pay, then Electrical Engineering, followed by Chemical Engineering.

Communications was considered a major component in any field, but was advised against getting an MBA (Masters of Business Administration) as it was too broad and not as marketable.

Bottom line is that the actual engineering skills are preferable to interpersonal skills in the long run, but if you have them, put you head and shoulders above most candidates.

i would say computer science will leave you with more opportunities than electronics or communications... but computer science often leads to an I.T. job if you can handle that.
