Having observed humans for some time now, I would say that their NEEDS are limited but their WANTS are unlimited. The problem is that they tend to get the two mixed up.
Smart advertisers can turn a want into a need quite easily - look at how teenagers 'need' sportshoes.
Fortunately, cats don't fall for such tricks.

thats what my economics teachers always tell me
makes sense, cuz humans are greedy, regarding needs and wants... and with over 6 billion of us, we need to conserve our resources carefully
