As a term of endearment- I like baby or doll.
By strangers I don't care as long as it's not Ma'am- that just sounds too old!
I do agree with the post that the only "off limits" word is the C word.

i love being called love, doll, and sweetie. babe can be okay, but i don't really like being called a chick. even though i am one... i dunno, i just don't really like it
but nah, i don't think i would really like to be called dragon haha that's a little too intense for me

My wife never calls me by my name. She calls me "Sweets". Imaging in a busy shopping mall. "Sweets where are you?" I think it's cute but not at the Mall.
