I was at a large creek once.I saw a tree where the root s had been eroded away on the banks of that large creek.and the tree was starting to lean.another tree of another species had grown a large knot out from itself at a certain height, and the one that was leaning was also growing out this growth.a large knot.at the same height and they grew INTO each other so that the one tree could hold on to the other so that it wouldn't fall over.
they obviously communicated with each other.to do that.

I read in readers digest about a large forest of trees.that were being attacked by a certain type of beetle,
the trees on the other side of the forest begin making a sap that repelled that type of beetle.without ever coming in contact with that beetle, they communicate and or intelligent creatures.
There is a life force of some sort that they can communicate through

i have no idea why the f-u-ck 'philosophers' with ZERO scientific knowledge, experience or, really, any brains answer questions like these!!!

the answer is NO!!!! no, no, no...the f-u-ck NO!

a plant is a producer. it takes raw materials like carbon dioxide, oxygen and other elements it needs to grow and thrive. for all you who think a mushroom is a plant...youre an idiot and it's time to shut up!

the plant then dies and it is the decomposers (bacteria) to break everything down back into its basic elements.

so what are the roles of animals and humans on this earth? in essence, we're parasites. we are the inbetween creatures that consume the plants (all things come from plants which in turn grow and thrive via photosynthesis from the sun as a source of energy).

we eat the plants (or animals that have eaten plants etc) and we crap and pee. the bacteria then break down these wastes (including our rotting corpses when we die) back into basic elements that plants will use.

again, i need to stress that plants DO NOT need us for survival!

this is why so many people, so so so many people laugh at 'philosophers'. they think they are asking profound questions when there is a very easy answer to it. there is no mystery, no deep thought required, no 'higher' level of intelligence that philosophers think they have. philosophers have, in fact, little to zero understanding on what is happening and deduce things via observation with no experimentation. with their own 'thoughts', they draw a conclusion as demonstrated by all the WRONG answers before me.

there is no debate here, there is no 'subjectivity of 'what if', there is no mystery of life...this is a fact! and if you still dont get it...you better start learning how to flip burgers and serve fries because it means that you lack basic intelligence and social skills to minimally be able to interact with the 'real' world!

well yes they are using us for their survival by taking in the carbon dioxide that we breathe out. but other than that, i don't know of anything plants did that...umm..."took advantage" of humans.

but then again if evolution allows it then its possible that plants can become the venus flytraps of humans. just a thought.

and...that's "physically and psychologically" :)

Yes, its a two way thing. They use us and when use them. Each survives because of the other.

I don't think so. They could live without us. They did in the past.
