In a good movie:

Leslie Howard as Ashley Wilkes in Gone With the Wind - some southerner - with a British accent (Vivien Leigh sounded like a southern belle - Leslie Howard was a joke)

The Lord of the Rings - I waited for these wonderful books to be made into a movie for so many years - and finally - and it was a great movie - worth waiting for - my favorite actors are in it - Christopher Lee, John Rhys-Davies, Viggo Mortensen, Ian Holm, Ian McKellan, Orlando Bloom, Hugo Weaving, Sean Astin. So, what was bad? Elijah Wood - all through the movie, he had the same expression that my dog got when he had to puke - he's go into a corner and his middle would start heaving - and the look on his face - just like Frodo.

Christian Slater in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. Morgan Freeman was poorly cast in that one, too (you'd never see a Moor trapsing around 14th century Nottingham...). And Kevin Costner....SHEESH!

Well, basically anything where the action takes place in England before the United States existed and the actors speak with American accents...

Richard Gere as Lancelot in "The First Knight" - talk about accents!? Bizzarre!
And Michael Gambon as Dumbledore in the Harry Potter movies. The guy hasn't got a clue about the wonderful character that Dumbledore is in the books. Every time I see him in that role, I want to jump into the screen and kick him! What was he thinking when he started shaking Harry and yelling at him in "The Goblet of Fire"? After Richard Harris' portrayal of DD, it's torture to see this "actor" in that role...

I've got 2:

First is Catherine Zeta-Jones in "Entrapment" with Sean Connery. He's such a superior actor, my heart broke for him whenever he had scene with her. She was Truly Awful.

Second: Julia Roberts as Tinkerbell in "Hook". Tink was supposed to be bit**y and physically delicate. JR was like a bull in a china shop. And for the B part, well, she just sounded like a snotty teenager.

Oh, where do I begin:

Naomi Watts in King Kong...to old for the part
Adrian Brody in King Kong...not hot enough for the part
Tara Reid in Van Wilder...not intellectual enough to be the "brainy one" in any movie
Robin Williams in "Night Listener"...just didn't buy him as being gay..ever. Weird, strange, off the wall yes, but gay...no.
Paris Hilton...in anything except her homemade sextape, which was funny, except for the dude left holding his johnson while she answered her sidekick in the middle of "doing the deed".
