Two days ago I had a job interview and it was conducted by five people, I wrote down their names and I refered to them in my letter of thanks to the director of the program. However, I am not sure where the other interviewers are located (they are from all over teh county.) Do I write one letter or do I supposed to send a thank you to each one and then call and find out each persons contact info?

It never hurts to send individual thank you letters. Some interviewers are impressed that you took the time to thank them in person, even if you do not get the job. I would get their individual contact information and write to each one. That way, you stand a better way of being remembered in "group" interviews.

Is this new etiquette? Seriously, I have never heard of anyone writing a thank you letter for an interview. I cant imagine interviewers having the time or even wanting to receive a thank you card. If I was the interviewer I would feel that you were a butt kisser and would rethink the interview. Just an opinion. I guess I have been out of the loop as far as looking for a job but never in my life did it occur to me to send a thank you for an interview.

The follow-up letter after an interview can seal the deal in case you pick the job. absolutely everyone must be in my view addressed a observe. in case you made notes about the interview, or bear in thoughts what all the individuals you met requested about, this promises the probability to communicate lower back to the matters that mattered maximum. you could upload a level or strengthen some thing favorable on your historic past. those skill colleagues and superiors savour understanding you paid interest to them and their concerns. They reply certainly to even an extremely straight forward "thanks for a at the same time as and courtesy" letter. at the same time as taking interviews, continually convey jointly playing cards or write down heavily the right call spelling and job identify of absolutely everyone you meet. be positive that is sweet interior the thanks letter. if you're no longer positive, then call the employer - frequently a receptionist or someone no longer in touch interior the interviews can set you immediately. reliable success!

It's not madatory to write a letter but it shows that you made an effort to thank them for taking there time and it makes you look good also.
So if you want to you can write a letter and thank them for the interview and you never know you might just get the job.
Also you can try looking up company's name that you went on the interview for and send them a letter putting the attention to the people who interviewed you.

Maybe you could give them a call and thank them personally. I have been told that by recruiters that the more times you have contact with them the more your chances go up for getting that job.
