I use low heat for all of my wash. On my machine there are 2 settings for low heat, timed and automatic, I use the automatic. It only takes mine around 45 mins to dry and uses less electricity then using high heat.

When I had to go to the laundromat, I dryed them on the highest temp but now that I have my very own brand new washer & dryer, I dry the towels on the "cotton" setting for 50 minutes.

Just a handy tip for the first time laundry adventure: When drying clothes, always shake them out a bit before putting them into the dryer. It cuts down on wrinkles & cuts the drying time in half.

P.S. Always clean out the dryer filter before each load. You don't want to end up with a dryer fire.

I use high on towels because they hold lots of water. Use a softener sheet if not allergic. Also to soften the towel you can use liquid softener in the wash before drying. Average time for towels to dry is about 35 to 50 min.

You would use a High setting, Cottons for your Towels, They are normally heavier and take Longer to dry. Be sure and use Downy on your towels when washing to keep them soft and static free.

Use a med-high setting. If too low, heavy towels will take forever to dry.

I use the hottest setting. They won't shrink. Give them a good shake before putting them in the dryer, it cuts down on drying time.
