I lived on Lanzarote for a while.

Have a look at www.lanzarote.com
www.discoverlanzarote.com

For things to do.

When you get there pick up a free copy of The Buzz and Lanzarote Gazette to see what is going on.

Any more information you need then email.

I'm just back from Puerto Del Carmen, had a great time, lots of bars and restaurants, plenty to see and do, the harbour is only 5 Min's walk from the (main strip) which is nice and peaceful, its a good idea to hire a car and see more of the island, good thing about lanzarote is they aren't allowed to build apartments/hotels more than 3 storeys high so it hasn't got the (concrete city) feel, weather you want a lively or peacefull holiday you can have the best of both worlds,

I love puerto del carmen I have been 3 times you get the best of both worlds you can go to the lively bit along the beach which is packed with bars, restaurants etc or you can go up to the old town which is lovely and its quieter and has some fantastic restaurants!! You will have a great time!!

Lots of wonderful attractions. Fire Mountain is fabulous, as are the caves. Mirador is wonderful. Ceasar Monryck house is well worth a visit. We took a trip on the helicopter. It was expensive, but well worth the money.

If you are looking for a quieter holiday, go to Playa Blanca. The beaches there are really great - nudist as well.

We have been to Lanzarote countless times, but last year we had a villa at Nazaret which was out of this world. We are going again in May. (Can't wait)

Our daughter and her new husband went there for their honeymoon last year and took 26 of her friends with them. They had a wonderful time.

The most northeasterly of the Canary Islands, Lanzarote has embraced the tourism boom with a more laid-back feel than its popular sister islands of Tenerife and Gran Canaria. Nature is still a big attraction on this small volcanic island, camels are often used to transport goods. See http://www.spain4uk.co.uk/balearic_canary/lanzarote.htm for more details
