Violin has a much more interesting and unique sound in my mind. Flute however just doesn't sound as lively as a violin so I think you should go with Violin.

I would say go w/ the violin. Just b/c you can expand on what you know about playing the violin to other instruments. It makes it much easier to learn to play other string instruments if you're interested in doing something like that. Plus, I think the violin has a prettier sound than a flute.

If you want to further your music career,, do the class with violin, due to the fact that later on you will find there are actually a limited number of violin players out and about. However don't stop the flute,, maybe find someone that will trade for lessons,,cuz, as someone already said, you can never know too many

Definitely the violin. I played the flute throughout school and I regret it! I wanted to play the violin, but my parents wouldn't pay for the violin. I think learning a stringed instrument is the way to go.

I would stay with the Violin Class, but keep playing the Flute on your "free" time. You can never learn or play too many intstruments!!!

i say the violin 'cause it has a pretty sound and has great musical parts in songs. the flute is nice, too, but the violin is just so lovely.

Imagine yourself:

1) Being in the wind class and playing your flute.

2) Being in the string class and playing your violin.

Which one makes you feel warmer and fuzzier?

Choose whichever instrument gives you the most pleasure and in which you have the most talent. Such a shame that there has to be a choice.
