This is something I have thought a lot about. Unless there is a holiday pending or specific sales event you are catering to that affects the selling date, I think the best times to list and end are on weekends. People are more likely to be around their computer to compete in the end bidding on Sunday night than they are on Monday afternoon, when they're likely to be at work. Even if they have computers on their desk at work, something might come up and derail their bidding.

Probably on a Friday due to it being payday and people are more willing to spend on payday and at a time thats later than all time zones get off from a traditional work day.

Think about when the majority of the people are home, holidays would take away, but ebay in my opinion is decreasing in its effectiveness.

I find that Saturday and Sunday between 5PM and 7PM are the most affective.
