The pattern is that teh denom of the previous number becomes teh numberator of teh next number. Then THAT denom is one less.
3 4 5 6 7 8 9.....
2 3 4 5 6 7 8.....
When multiplying fractions, you can cross cancel. That that means is:
3 X 4 = 12 = 2
2 3 6

The left top 3 is CANCELLED by teh bottom right 3.
so that pattern goes on and on until 2006/2005
The 2005 will be cancelled out from teh pattern.
That leaves 2006 as your numerator.
2006 divided by 2 (The first denom that DIDNT cancel out) is 1003

= 3*4*5/2*3*4*.....=2006/2 =1003 Because simplifying, in the numerator only the last factor remains and in the denominator the first one .

the numerators and denominators are canceling out for the most part. when you're done, you have 2006/2, or 1003
