The first one-because the person has the 16 years of hands on experience and street smart, so this person would be wiser about people.

The first one. I have observed in the past that a person who is book smart is usually clueless when faced with a situation that is "not in the book". You need to be able to think on your feet. Experience does that. . .no book will ever teach you that.

hmmm, well, I think the 16 years would be nice, but a little to long for me, I would rather get good degree, be knowledgeable and then get a well paying job. So i guess I would pick #2.

Experienced one. Book smart are just so full of theoretical solutions which usually flounder in the real world.
