I am a horror film junkie. Unfortunately, lately they are overrated. Hostel, Wolf Creek, Hills Have Eyes--all completely overrated. I love the Saw movies, The first Grudge was good. There was a great show on Bravo around Halloween called 100 scariest movie scenes of all time. Go to the bravo website and check the movies out. You'll get some great ideas from Horror Film writes, directors, actors, etc. Stick to the classics though--Exorcist, Ammytiville Horror, Rosemary's Baby, The origional Nightmare on Elm Street and Reanimator!

I too like horror movies and one that you literally must see is "The Descent." When it was released I shrugged at it and wrote it off as a ridiculous idea along the lines of "The Cave." But it is a beginning to end well made film with suspense like Jaws and blood like a Tarantino film. And any film that has a pool of blood (literally - and it is not ruining anything) is fine by me.
