Honeywell Smartfit system came up with a fault F04. Instruction manual advised checking the 3-port valve for blockage and/or malfunction in the electronic actuator. We have replaced the 3 port valve body, its associated actuator and connecting lead and checked the integrity of the connecting lead. In spite of this it still displays the F04 fault.

The central heating system is now working on a manual overide but would like the system to be working normally.

Any suggestions

Is the actuator aligned with the valve properly, is the selector switch at 'Y' in the control box. Try removing the actuator from the valve, does it move? is the spindle free to move?
