The fact of the matter is that Emery is waaay bigger than Biron (6'2" 202lbs to Marty's 6'3" 163lbs), and I think it was more disbelief that Biron had the balls to go after him, anyway. Emery is not known for his lovely disposition, anyway. It's all right, Andrew Peters gave him what he had coming, and all the wiener Senators just sat there and let their goalie get attacked without lifting a finger to help him. He won't be so cocky when he gets jumped next time he comes out of the crease and nobody goes to protect him, just battered. The past two Buffalo-Ottawa games were disgusting as far as penalties and things being let go.

Believe it or not, because they were having fun.
Most of the players actually know one another. Players move around so much, and play against each other so much that chances are pretty good that they are on a first name basis.
These guys were fighting for the fun of it. There was nothing to gain for either guy. Both had capable backups to take over if they got ejected, so no harm there.
If you could actually hear what they were saying half the time there is good natured ribbing and very little hatred.

if you noticed both of them were laughing.marty said he knew that emery was a better fighter than he was and all he was doing was guarding his face.they both went at it because the rest of the team did.they said biron and emory were sitting in the locker room cutting up with each other after they got ejected.i am not by any way a senators fan i think you have to applaud marty for standing up to someone that is a known fighter......go marty!!!!!!!the only one i even half way like on sens team is dany heatley and that is because he came back from an adversity that left him with the possibility of never playing again.

I see what you mean. He did toss Biron like a rag doll though, but Peters got a couple of shots in there. I wish Probert was still around to knock some sense into him, well more like knock some sense outta him, but you know what I mean. It was cocky and adraneline at the same time. He sucked asss in net though.

I guess, he did rip Biron up, but I think peters put a copulple dents in his dome . . . maybe he didn't feel it because of the adrenaline, but I'm sure he's figured it out by now.
Hope he wasn't planning on shaving his head!
