i'm taking a survey to see how many of you like cats and how many like dogs. so what will it be? The feline or the canine? Why?

Both, but if I really had to choose between the two, I'd have to vote for CATS. They are just so soft and cuddly and don't smell as bad as dogs.

I like both. Cats are independent and affectionate, while dogs are loyal and make great companions.
As far as cats I like: yellow tabbys, himalayans, and angoras. I've had 12 cats in my lifetime and I can't picture life without them.
As far as dogs, I like: german shepards, beagles, samoyeds, golden retrievers, pomeranians, labs, and collies. I've had three dogs in my life, all of which were german shepard mixes, and some of my greatest childhood memories were with those dogs.

both but i like dogs better, bcuz:
Dogs lie around all day, sprawled on the most comfortable piece of furniture in the house.
They can hear a package of food opening half a block away, but don't hear you when you're in the same room.
They can look dumb and lovable all at the same time.
They growl when they are not happy.
When you want to play, they want to play.
When you want to be alone, they want to play.
They are great at begging.
They will love you forever if you rub their tummies.
They leave their toys everywhere.
They do disgusting things with their mouths and then try to give you a kiss.
heehee, that's why i like dogs :)

That is a hard 1 if i had 2 choose i would say that i can't choose both have their good and bad qualties for example:::: Cats:::: Clean calm affectionate groomin not required independent
Dogs::::: Affectionate entergetic not much grooming exercise capable(walking running ETC.)

I LOVE dogs they are playful, loyal, and alert, while cats are boring, not playful and are asleep all the time and their purring gets soooooo annoying!!!
