No..the collapse of the USSR proved nothing...because Karl Marx theory requires for a completely unsellfish and giving society...which doesn't exist...it requires for all people to be equal which the Soviets didn't do...they still had classes...so they did not adhere fully to his system therefore the collapse of the Union proved nothing about communism..

Yes, I believe the USSR adopted many parts of the theory. Also, other area of Marx are difficult if not impossible to achieve and they had 50 years of trying.

As a refresher, Marxism as defined by the Communist Manifesto that says "from each, according to his abilities, to each according to his needs." It included state ownership of production, classless, stateless social organization and common ownership of the means of production and no private ownership of material or property. The state owns all. Central Planning leads to shortages and overproduction. Workers under Marxism say "They pretend to pay us, we pretend to work."

Because of the theory going against human nature, it was a failure. In China, they have also adopted the theory, but are leaning heavily toward capitalism for success.

Of course it did. It proved that humans will never live under the ridiculous self-limiting notions that Marx advanced.
