i strained my back last night.I've been weight-lifting for 20 years and nothing like this has ever happened to me. I was doing squats, with a 100lb barbell (not for the first time), while i was going up i felt something crack in my lower back, and my back started aching badly. I went straight to bed, slept on a suport-mattress, bot today i find it difficult to even go to the bathroom? What can i do until my doctor comes back on Monday?

Rest, rest, rest...
Put ice on for the first 24 hours, 20 min/20 min off., then heat after that.
Take Ibuprofen to decrease the swelling.
Your doc might prescribed some muscle relaxer & do a exam to rule out it is just musculature & not a vertebrae.

Have someone there who's willing to wait on you hand and foot. You may have torn a back muscle or possibly partially torn a ligament or just thrown your back out. Take it easy, or if it gets really bad go into a walk in clinic or an emergency room. Apply ice and heat to it as much as you can and try and do the odd movement so you don't completely stiffen up.

I had the same thing back, its probably just a back spasm, and you should be fine as long as you do little activity

try to stretch a bit and lots of rest and then go to your doctor to make sure
