I need something to make it interesting, but I don't want to work too hard. I could also use help thinking about topics to write about. The paper needs to be 3-4 pages long, and subtopics that I already have are Dress Codes, Freedom of Speech, Curfews, Crime and Punishment, and a couple more. I really need help!!!

Your paper will be interesting as long as you are interested in the topic, and put together a compelling argument. All of those issues are controversial enough that people will be interested to hear how you decide what you think is right.

Other strategies to make it more exciting to read/present include:

- use anecdotes for the personal side, as well as statistics to give the big picture. For example, for Dress Codes, you might want to talk about a specific school that has chosen to adopt uniforms, and how that has worked, and then give some national level statistics about how many schools nationwide have followed a similar approach.

- interview some of your peers, teachers, or parents about the issue, and include their quotes in the paper. (This is more journalistic.)

The main thing to make it interesting is to think hard about your issue and how you feel about it, and then construct an argument that reflects your interest.

Well you could use something that is age appropriate to the group you will be reading it to. Like if you are reading it to a group of highschool students put something that can apply to them. Use a statstic, one that shows something huge, that will blow their minds. You can also use smiley tricks. Such as the magic three (outrageously, thrilling, mind blowing and then tell what you are describing) It is basically just using three descriptive words that describe what you are saying. Another thing you can do is use very descriptive words, not just he said (instead use he announced, or declared)

Hope this helps a bit.

If it were me (a humorist), I'd wind it up with a section called "Teen Wrongs - What We'll Do If We Don't Get Our Way". Then you can go on a little about some rebellious and irritating things teens might do to demonstrate frustration over not getting the rights they're seeking.
Oh, yeah . . .
