As the Spy-Bot was searching and destroying, I got an unsolicited request to upgrade my Firefox protection with Firefox 2.0.0.2. I've become paranoid about almost everything I see popping up on my screen. So is this one I can install?

the spy-bot worked well. I immunized and things seem fine except for this balloon that's at the bottom of my screen right now as I type. It says, System alert: Trojan-Spy.Win32 at mx. And I still get these casino pop ups.

you need not update it straight away. It is not necessary during the virus removal process. PS: spybot s&d may not be able to detect and remove all of trojans. You should update and run scan using an antivirus program, in windows safe mode. You can try online scanning and removal provided by bitdefender. It's free

I have one question for you. Did you immunize your computer in SpyBot? It now immunizes against over 16,000 known bots and threats. As far as finding every piece of spyware, no it won't. But together with Ad-Aware, you 'll be able to keep control of spyware and ad-ware. I urge you to get Ad-Aware SE Personal and use it weekly or more often if you are on the internet a lot.

As far as FireFox is concerned, that seems to be the latest upgrade, which you would be able to download without worry.

Why Don't You try NoAdware. It gets rid of any kind of Trojan. Inluding the new one out called Anti Vermin Zolb Trojan. Including the new one called Backdoor-DKV. Fire Fox Really is not a good internet browser. If I was you I'd get Aol 9.0 Security. The Anti Spyware system blocks every trojan that includes spyaxe, spystrike. I just got rid of Anti vermin on my system manually than I used a NoAdware scan to pick up missed files. Get rid of Fire Fox.
