Were the terms Fortress Europe, Atlantic wall and West Wall referring to the same thing during WW2?

yes and no the fortress Europe and Atlantic wall are used in the same terms. But the west wall is better known as the Sigfried line. This was situated on the border of Germany and started somewhere before Aachen and went on until the Swiss border and was intended to counter the french Maginot line. It was used end 1944 in the battle of the hurtgen wald ( hurt gen forest ) and also it play a role in the starting period of the battle of the bulge
