I ask this question because of what we continually see on television, read in the news, or hear on the radio. It is repeatedly stated that if US forces were to leave Iraq, it would have dire and far reaching consequences. These consequences could possibly include terrorists or other groups to be more aggressive or possibly stage attacks against the continental US.

The question then is, do you feel any paranoia over such a possibility? Whether it is while our forces are stationed abroad or if they were brought home? Why, or why not?

We have had a threat or another of domestic attacks since the end of the Civil War. There were threats during both World Wars, the Korean and Vietnam wars and even the Gulf War. Mostly we were under threat from Comunist countries for the second-half of the 20th Century. And 9/11 was comparatively minor* to what a full military invasion from another country could have been.

As long as the US is percieved to the the wealthiest and most powerful country in the world, it will always be under threat of world-wide invasion.

At this point, Canada seems safer.

As you and I have talked about this, I think it's fair to say that the media is the main cause that anyone thinks that we could have a domestic attack. It's called group hysteria....and you know what I'm talking about. No one knows the truth about this situation because so much is hidden from the public so we all go on our speculations. But you know, I don't feel any paranoia over it. I feel sorry for those who live in paranoia...it's not healthy. Everyone just needs to know the truth.

According to everyone,we should be paranoid over everything in our lives, especially the ones we can not change.

We should take to heart the quote"give me the strenght to change the things I can, serenity to change the things I can't" or something like that.
