Fort Ticonderoga is famous for battles during the French & Indian Wars, which took place in the 18th century, well after the medieval period ended (in the 15th century).
Also, "medieval fighting" is a bit broad, since the Middle Ages lasted almost exactly a millenium.
However, you should check out Osprey Publishing since they have books on both time periods (as well as others):

about 500 years difference in time.........medieval being 1000-1400, Tico being 1762 and 1776
