but if your toshiba laptop does not have wi-fi built in
u will need a pcmcia or usb solution
a pci card docks into a desktop, not laptop

You would need wireless router to replace current or a wireless device (like a hub)that you would connect to one of your current routers (you can make all routers into hubs) and if your Toshiba does not have internal wireless capabilities you would need a pci card or a usb wireless device. So yes you need both

no you need a PC Card wireless adapter for the laptop and then the router, that's if you laptop doesn;t have built in wireless.
