I am using the eternet cable local area network connection, so can the eternet be used by someone else? If so how to see who is using it? And how to prevent it?

In most cases people can't "share" your particular cable connection. But with the right equipment they can "sniff" the packets and see what you are doing. And while not actually breaking into your connection, Ethernet, by design, is often broadcast throughout the business or campus (or house) as the case may be.

Generally this should pose no problem for you. Web sessions with your bank should be https:// type and offer a slight increase in security. If this still bothers you, you need to work with your site administrator to establish VPN's, encryption or other security measures that are commensurate with the applications you are accessing.

Ethernet is hackproof unless they got physical contact to your modem...Unless you mean hacking through the internet..you have to set up a firewall to prevent it.
