Does the King Cobra gets shorter as it grew older ?

It was believed in Olden days that this Rathinam used to form in the throat of Old King Cobras (Naga) and after maturing it for many years the Cobra used to vomit it. It was considered as very precious and priceless.

It is all myths and no one has actually seen it. In Telugu films by Vittalacharyya etc. they used to mention about this. I do not relive it is there.-

Yes it is a gem stone kind of thing, The cobra and other snakes use it to attract insects , It keeps it in its mouth, and removes it at night , so that insects are attracted to its shine and it swallows the insects and other smaller animals like frogs which are attracted to the insects.
