hello what was the tv programe called with uncle the talking plant?

it was on in the late 70`s/80`s it was a kinda quiz/adventure show where they had to do different tasks,at the end of show they had to walk on a grid and try not to get evaporated? Does anyone esle remember this or am l mad?
