I applied for a position in a hospital since 2/12/07 I was just wondering what is the appropriate time frame to wait to call in and check about the status of my application... I just want them to know that I want this JOB BAD!!! ( its related to my major and I feel this is my chance to get my foot in the door). Is there a time frame that employers wait to call you... I did check on the status online its says"application has been forward to hiring manager"

You can always send an email or a phone cal. I would think that hospitals take longer to hire someone, reviewing their application, etc then other jobs so this time frame may not be long at all. I would give the interviewer a call and ask about it.

Can you find out who the hiring manager is? Go to the website for the hospital and click on "contact us". Usually the management is listed. Even If you have to leave them a voice mail or send an email, say clearly who you are, why (concise) you want the position, and that you are anxious to learn if you a a candidate for the position. Leave a phone number where you can be reached. Enthusiasm is better heard than written, though, in my opinion.

You s hould have called within the first week. Go there and drop off a thank-you card for the interviewers, thanking them for the opportunity to interview with them. Keep the thank-you card simple: Don't ask for anything or hint at anything. Give them 24 hours to get the card. Then call back to ask if the hospital has finished interviewing all possible candidates and see what they say. If they say it will be a week before they finish interviewing the last candidate, call back again, 6 days later.

you can wait up to 3 months. He can call you now or he can call you in May. Apply to other places as well. Good Luck

I would give a follow up call this week coming. It shows your interest.
