it is a bad ground, the things that work are grounding through the unused system. When you turn the lights on they have nothing to ground through as the brake lights are open and the turn signals are on the same circuit as the brake lights. Check under the back of the truck for a broken wire going towards the frame. If you live in an area where there has been lats of snow and ice the terminal could have been corroded from the road salt and the weight of the fenderburgs could well have torn it loose.

Hope this helps

good luck

you have have been given a quick interior the wiring someplace. it may bew everywhere alongside the wires. i could first examine out to make valuable that the two gadgets are on an identical circuit (fuse) i could next seem on the wiring for the tail lighting fixtures alongside the dimensions. (probably abraision close to the front of the mattress and the back of the cab.) i could then seem on the section close to the rear axle and flow to the mild boxes for the tail mild assemblies. do no longer forget approximately the registration code mild. If that would not fint the undesirable place, youll could take it to a mechanic or an vehicle electrician. everywhere the line can rub against a metallic piece will ultimately reason the insulation to positioned on away and reason a floor.

Find and correct the bad ground. It may be a corroded bulb holder. And the things that stop it are brakes, not breaks. Breaks are what follows "oooooooooops"
