Pele's name will always be mentioned (and rightly so) as well as Maradona's, Zidane's, Cruyff's, Platini etc.
But what about George Best?
Is it only Manchester United fans and the Irish whom think he was a footballing genius?
I would love to know your opinion on this.
Thank you

True. i am not a big english supporter, i'd rather see an MLS team pick up a trophy instead of man u, but i agree that george best was one of the best. but i dont think in the long run he has made as big an impact as pele or maradona did...did he win the world cup?

My all-time favourite legend is Eric Cantona. When he came to Man United,he transformed them from also-rans to serious title winners in England and contenders in Europe, although he didn't win a single Champions League medal. When the chips were down for Man United,he would always turn the game around and win those matches for United. He could also play as a targetman or second striker. His free-kicks were superb.Plus,he was the reason why I started supporting Man United. And I felt he could've stayed on for a few more years. Even if Cantona retired,I've still stuck to Man United through thick and thin. There are many future legends and up-and-coming superstars like him.But Cantona remains a King in my heart, and will always be.One can succeed a Bryan Robson,a Roy Keane,a Peter Schmeichel or a David Beckham. But one can never ultimately succeed a Cantona.

George Best, the Legend whose 2 goals against Benfica in a CL final won England their first ever CL title.
Late Georgy shall be remembered as one of the best players ever who ran on with a Red Devil jersey.
French know how to respect Legends unlike other nations.
Last time it was a question mark and now it is a dot, its the Empress.

he's a legend indeed. But maybe the reason is that he didn't quite shine in the World Cups like he did for Manchester United..
And I'm English
