A complicated series of movements becomes "that one thing again" with experience. Just keep plugging.

Well, get a better song first of all. And go dance to have fun. What makes a dance fun is putting you into it not just going through the steps. And idk what kind of dancing you're shooting for but personally I'm a big freestyle guy and I listen to the beats as well as the rise and fall of the song. Don't try to like, act out the words to the song. Lots if people try that when they start, not a good idea. Focus on the background stuff. And feel it, don't force it. It'll be fun if you have fun.

After a while, I just got used to it. I have a pretty good memory, and I always practice the combination at least once a day at home until it's time to perform. Also, when I was in second grade, we had to memorize poems and I think that that's deffinitly helped my memorization skills. So try memorizeing small things if you need to. Make up a short combination, and practice that. Then, add on a little bit each time and eventually you'll be able to remember it.

hey if your gonna take that attitude you cant do it. dont say its impossible! what i do is take a notebook and pen to class or when im choreographing and WRITE IT DOWN! then practice each step over and over andover tillyou have it in your brain and hav ethe step down. then take the next one and practice practice practice. then put them together. it sounds like it takes a long tim e but it really helps especially with technique. its really good to do that to your dances, polish them up and remmber them. if you have to take a half an hour on one part, then go for it! its ok to take time and make time for dance!

it's just experience and practicing. I dance ballet for 15 years now and in the beginning it was difficult, but now I remember steps like immediately. otherwise, we would be making one performance for two years :-)

I just go over it in my head...its something your memory has to remember so you really have to go over it untill you just get it down! Break it down into 8 counts and just go over that one 8 count for a while until u feel comfortable to move on

When your not dancing, run through the steps in your head. To make sure we know the steps, my dance teacher has us say what we are doing with our feet out loud. Her philosophy is-"If you talk to your feet, they'll do what you want them to do."
