I recently learned about ectomorphs and saw that i was one. Then i read the way ectomorphs act and there mooods and it fitted exactly why do you think this is?

Ectomorphic body type -- The physique of an ectomorph is centered around the brain and nerves. These people are slim and possibly underweight, and will often have a hard time gaining weight and building muscle mass (in our modern times, with the emphasis on physical fitness and muscularity, this has given rise to the notion of the "hardgainer" training methodologies which do have anecdotal evidence that the physiology responds to different training but can be overcome). Stereotype: the ectomorphic person is likely to have a cerebrotonic temperament and could be described as artistic, sensitive, apprehensive, introverted, socially restrained, and highly self-aware. Examples of ectomorphs would be marathon runners, fencers, swimmers, some basketball players, and female fashion models.

Somato typing is what you are referring to (endomorph, ectomorph and mesomorph) And yes I believe you are on to something. Your stereotype has described me to a Tee and yes I am an ectomorph. All ecto's are hard gainers and are prone to obsessive studying and researching diet and technique's to gain mass. In my 20's I was driven by it. Now long over that I have been able to relax and focus on my art and music as well as introspect. Does this sound familiar to you? If not if most likely will in you future so embrace it there is allot of perks being an ectomorph

I had not read of this connection before between body type and personality. It is fascinating. I am an ectomorph as well and many of those personality descriptors fit me too.
