Last year's congress never passed a budget, so the new Democratic congress is doing the work. To date, they've eliminated 9,300 earmarks that were added to spending bills.


Do you believe getting rid of these was a good thing?

I'm proud of the Democrats for bringing Congress back to fiscal responsibility.

The last balanced budget was by the Democrats. The Republicans blew it on tax cuts for the rich.

"Earmark" is a synonym for "Democrat", along with:

1. Jesus-hater;
2. Coward;
3. Bedwetter;
4. Flag Burner;
5. Al Qaeda Sympathizer;
6. Treasonist;
7. Seditionist;
8. Mama's boy;
9. Communist; and
10. Socialist (when moderate).

I support budget cuts. As for history of Democrat vs Republican spending: We had a SURPLUS under Clinton and now have a huge DEFICIT under Bush.

As was stated above, too little, too late. If they had instituted these policies maybe, oh, a century ago, we wouldn't have to deal with so much of the corruption and bulltripe passed as "legislation"..
