Go to 'Control Panel' and then 'Display'. You'll find stuff like that there.

Hi

Ok , first you need to be sure that your video card CAN run rise of nation , so , open control panel , then open video or graphic then at the last tab at the bottom it should say the video resolution and then the amount of color is running with that resolution , so for ex , if it says
800x600 and the colors are at 16mb well no chance there

i think the setting you looking for is

1024x768 with colors 256

Right click anywhere on the desktop.
Select last option "Properties".
Click on last tab, "Settings".
On the left hand side you will find "Colours" and a drop down button beside it. Click on the drop down button and choose the second option which says "High Color(16Bit)"
Click on Apply after selecting it.
You will get a Display Properties message. Read it and click "OK".

You may then play your game... :-)

Go to "Start" (bottom left of you monitor), then "Settings", then "control panel", then choose "display" click and you will see some tabs so you will click "settings" and you can set your monitor. If your monitor can run that way then you can set it for your choice of settings.

Simple my friend, go to control panel on the start menu. Click control panel and click Display. You can change your wallpaper, screensaver, and other stuff that relates to the display.
