i bet you notice it much more than anyone else. i would use coco butter. I wouldn't focus on it so much. The world is much bigger, and bolder than a small mark on your face. I think if someone rejects you for some marks on your face. let them catch the next thing smoking. Please try and focus on other things. That too will help. What about your hair? What about your figure? you got plenty to work with. Forget this minute marks on your face.

cocoa butter is way too thick ~ i wouldnt suggest it for your face...
HYDROQUINONE is a PROVEN skin lightening product and is contained in many products. it has been linked to some cancer in MICE but has not yet to be proven in humans. besides you get cancer from almost anything these days.
you can opt for those kinds of products. Also wearing sunscreen will help the dark area from becoming darker. since it most likely MAY be from sun damage. There are TONS of lightening products on the market. IE; clarins and shiseido which use multi targeted Vitamin C and different types of anti-oxidants ~ which are good for OVERALL skincare. as well as DERMADOCTOR ~ which has a pretty good product called IMMACULATE CORRECTION.
as for your scar they do have products like was it MEDERMA? that help to reduce the appearance of scars *supposedly* other than that i wouldnt worry about it too much ~ i have 2 scars near my eye ~ from when i was like 3 or 4 ~ and no one has ever really mentioned it.

There is a product called Bio oil which you can buy from your local chemist or online.
I had pigmentation on my forehead after having my wee boy and this helped clear it.
It is also excellent at fading scars.
Just rub it in every day. you can also use it in the shower or bath to nurture your skin. It really is great.
Good Luck
