I believe everything is a learning process. You made it through primary, to secondary on to high school and now into university. Congratulations !! Slowly but surely you changed, adapted, made more friends ,met more people ...... So, in that that same spirit look around you at your new surroundings with confidence and purpose. Your personality that has developed all these years to this level will surge forward. So do not think about it but just be yourself and think positive. Trust me...1 year down the road you'll be a different person.

Remember that happy people attract people like a magnet so if you are a depressive then i'm sorry but you will have to hide it atleast until you make friends with people.
Sign up for the activities you want to do and give them your all. dont force your opinions or religion on others and most importantly LISTEN. Dont chat madly about yourself as people will think your not interested.
Also do not stare or profess how great you think someone is in the first day of meeting them unles you really think so and saying so will not make you look like a psycho or sycophant/
Most of all RELAX

You wear a BIG placard around your neck which states all of the things you are, believe in and are willing to do.
If that is something that really focuses your mind, to make personal statements about who and what you are, then maybe you should wait a few years to go there. Later these things will less than likely be of such 'Importance' to you and leave you free to focus on why you're there and what it's about.
Good luck.
Sash.

I am a 2nd Year LLB Law student and I am really quiet individual. Yet in University you have to be confident and be professional. If you want to be the best on your course you have to be completely neutral in terms of when people talk to you, but in seminars and lectures you take no prisoners, and just look the best you can. If people think you are a know it all then so be it. Just acquire a group of friends you take it as seriously as you do, and you'll be set.
Good Luck at Uni!

Smile. I know it's a simple little idea, but no matter what makes you the same or different from others at school, if you smile, it'll endear more people to you. Besides, it's hard not to have fun when you're frequently smiling.

Sometimes, I feel shy and lack confidence with people. Then when I get home I think "Oh- why didn't I just be myself?" I bet I'm not the only one who feels this way. It hurts that sometimes, others cannot see the real me- the fun, loving, crackhead- just because I'm not as loud as others or as confident.
My friends know what I'm like and love me for who I am- that's because I'm myself around them. Try feeling a bit more comfortable around others just as you are with your friends. Remember, don't try to change your personality to please others.

oh, try using the one you actually have first. If that don't work, come up with a completely phony one and do your best to stay in character.

Be yourself. Talk to people. Get to know them. Dress however you feel comfortable, go to parties you want to go to, take classes you're interested in.
People will get the picture :)

Automatically, as soon as you are exposed to a group of people and have to interact. So chill. Don't worry. Be your unique and beautiful self. x
